How does the karaoke maker work?

We run your track through an AI separation model in 2-stem mode targeting vocals. You get two files back: the instrumental (drums, bass, guitars, keys, FX) listed first as your track, and the vocal on its own under it. Backing vocals and harmonies sometimes leak through; the lead vocal is usually removed cleanly.

Result is downloadable as MP3 and ready to play through any speaker, projector or karaoke system. No watermarks, no signup.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some vocals still leak through?
Backing harmonies and reverb tails sit close to the instrumental in the frequency spectrum, so a few traces can remain, most often in dense choruses. A higher-quality source file (WAV, FLAC or a 320 kbps MP3) gives the model more to work with than a low-bitrate copy.
Can I use the result in karaoke software?
Yes, the exported MP3 plays in any karaoke or media player. If you need lyric sync, pair it with a CDG/MP3+G tool externally.
How long does separation take?
Most 3-4 minute songs finish in 1-3 minutes. Time depends on the file length and current backend load. Files can be up to 10 minutes long.
Is my file uploaded somewhere permanent?
Files are processed on our backend and deleted 14 days after the job completes - 90 days on a paid account. We don't keep your audio beyond that and don't use it to train any model.
