eMusic.Tools is a free, browser-based music tools platform. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
We use cookies to remember your preferences (such as language and theme settings) and to improve performance. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. You can disable cookies at any time via your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly without them.
We use the browser's localStorage API to persist your in-app data (e.g. recent tools, ear-training progress, Redux store state). This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time via your browser's developer tools or site data settings.
We use Google Analytics (GA4, ID: G-6R2WFNCKK0) to understand how visitors use our site — page views, session duration, and feature usage. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data via cookies. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by rejecting cookies in our cookie banner.
We use Hotjar (ID: 6629776) to understand user behaviour through heatmaps and session recordings. Hotjar may record mouse movements, clicks and scrolling patterns. No personally identifiable information is captured. You can opt out at hotjar.com/legal/compliance/opt-out.
When you first visit the site, a cookie banner appears. No tracking cookies are activated until you click Accept. You may click Reject at any time to decline. To withdraw or change your consent, use the Cookie Settings link in the footer — this resets your preference and shows the banner again.
We do not collect personally identifiable information. Analytics data is retained by Google and Hotjar per their own policies. localStorage data stays on your device until you clear it.
