What makes B Blues different
The blues scale is the minor pentatonic with one extra note, the ♭5, which gives it six notes. The added note sits between the fourth and the fifth, making 4, ♭5, 5 the only chromatic run in the scale. It's a passing note: players rarely hold it, and bending or sliding through it is what gives blues phrasing its cry.
