This embedded sequencer is a straight 16-step grid. The Beat Machine is the native version: 16 to 64 steps, velocity on every hit, swing and humanize, four kits, a four-pattern bank and WAV or MIDI export.

- How do I program a beat?
- Click cells in the grid to toggle hits: rows are drum voices (kick, snare, hat, etc.), columns are 16th-note steps. Press play and the pattern loops continuously. Adjust tempo with the BPM control.
- Can I save my pattern?
- Patterns here persist only while the page is open. To keep a beat between sessions, build it in the Beat Machine - it saves the pattern bank, mixer and kit to your browser and exports WAV or MIDI.
- Does the drum machine support swing?
- This embedded sequencer is straight 16ths. For swing, shuffle and humanized timing use the Beat Machine, where swing runs from a straight grid to a full triplet feel.
- Can I change kit sounds?
- Default sounds are an electronic kit. For TR-808, TR-909, acoustic and lo-fi kits with per-voice tune and decay, open the Beat Machine, or play the acoustic Drums tool alongside this one.
