Frequently asked questions

How does the exercise work?
A chord progression plays in a loop. Listen carefully, then select the Roman numeral pattern that matches what you heard from the four choices.
What do the difficulty levels change?
Higher difficulty levels add more complex progressions - from simple pop (I–V–vi–IV) at D1 through jazz and borrowed chords at D4, up to 6–8 chord phrases at D5.
What are the key and style options?
You can lock the key to C major for easier practice, choose a random key, or hear a random key with its name shown. The style option switches between block chords, arpeggios, and a strummed feel.
